Torino Football Club announced the death of eight year old academy player Ismael Pistis. The young footballer died in a motorway accident on April 5 2026. Consequently, the club expressed deep sorrow over the loss.

The crash took place around 5 pm on the A21 motorway between the Felizzano and Asti Est toll booths. The route led toward Turin in northern Italy. Ismael Pistis rode on the back of a motorbike that his father drove. A car struck the motorbike in the fast lane. As a result, the motorbike crashed into a roadside barrier.

Ismael Pistis’ father sustained minor injuries and received treatment at a hospital. Meanwhile, his mother followed behind in a car as the family returned from a day trip. Italian police launched an investigation into the accident.
