Head coach Eric Chelle announced his 23-man squad for Nigeria’s March international fixtures. The list featured a mix of experienced internationals and emerging talents. The announcement confirmed selections across goalkeeping, defense, midfield, and attack.
Chelle stated, “We selected players based on current form, fitness, and tactical balance.” He added, “This squad reflected our immediate objectives for the March window.”
Goalkeepers Retained Core Options
Goalkeeper Maduka Okoye leads the selection, alongside Adebayo Adeleye and Francis Uzoho. The trio maintained continuity in the goalkeeping department.

Defenders Combined Experience and Depth
Defender Calvin Bassey anchors the backline. He joins Oluwasemilogo Ajayi, Bright Osayi-Samuel, Bruno Onyemaechi, Zaidu Sanusi, Igoh Ogbu, and Emmanuel Fernandez.
Chelle noted, “Defensive stability remained a priority, and these players understood our structure.”
Midfield Selections Emphasized Balance
Midfielder Alex Iwobi headlined the midfield unit. He will feature alongside Frank Onyeka, Wilfred Ndidi, Raphael Onyedika, and Fisayo Dele-Bashiru.

Attack Features Pace and Versatility
Forward Ademola Lookman leads the attacking options. He will be joined by Samuel Chukwueze, Moses Simon, Chidera Ejuke, Paul Onuachu, Akor Adams, Philip Otele, and Collins Yira Sor.
Chelle said, “We selected forwards who offered flexibility, speed, and finishing ability.”
