Galatasaray striker Victor Osimhen sustained an arm fracture during the Champions League round of 16 second leg match against Liverpool. As reported, the Nigerian forward picked up the injury in the first half of the away game at Anfield on March 18 2026. Club officials confirmed the details shortly after the fixture.
Galatasaray officials issued a clear update on the injury. Consequently they explained how Osimhen continued briefly despite the blow.
“Our player Victor Osimhen who took a knock to his arm in the first half of the Champions League round of 16 second leg match away to Liverpool was unable to play in the second half due to the risk of a fracture as revealed by examinations carried out at half time” the statement read.
Moreover the club arranged immediate checks at a hospital under medical staff supervision. In addition doctors identified a fracture to the right forearm and applied a cast on the spot.
The statement continued “After the match a hospital examination under the supervision of our medical staff confirmed a fracture to his right forearm for which a cast has been applied.”
